About Us
Our Neighborhood Gardens is a faith-based program drawing from different aspects of Christian tradition. We believe the Church functions best when in community between denominations of those who love Jesus rather than standing alone.
We find our love of cultivating the earth in Anabaptist roots, looking on the peaceful farmers of past and present with fondness as we grow our own fresh produce.
We draw our passion for the inner-city impoverished dwelling in food deserts through the lens of the Black Church, which cares deeply about the community around them.
We work diligently at bettering our communities and being a light in the world as we hold fast to Lutheran-based beliefs to combine our work and faith in daily life.
