Our Mission

Our mission is to facilitate the cultivation of individual gardens in specific urban neighborhoods with lack of food access.

We intentionally choose neighborhoods in locations called a food desert (an urban area in which it is difficult to buy affordable or good-quality fresh food) because we care deeply about those with lack of fresh food and desire to see children and adults alike have affordable, healthy options.

Our vision is to see a community of gardens take root, enabling individuals and families to trade crops from their garden with each other to supply each member of our program with diverse, fresh, healthy produce grown within the neighborhood.

We value community, healthy food, connecting with nature (and each other), and holistic well-being.
